Help getting ready and starting your story #ChaBooCha

We're still just within the first week of the challenge and I know some of you are still working on your outlines, your research and figuring out your characters and settings. Fortunately, previous Chapter Book Challenges have had some very helpful posts for this first week of the challenge.

Here's a list (with links) of just some of those helpful posts for you to read if you think you might need help with these early stages of writing your story.

Word Counts, Timers and Chapters by Melissa Gijsbers

Breakdown of Daily Word Count Goals for the Chapter Book Challenge by Rebecca Fyfe

Outlining and You by Patti Larsen

Research for your Novel by Rebecca Fyfe

Plotting and Planning your Book and Character Development by Rebecca Fyfe

Structuring your Story by Adam Wallace

Crafting Convincing Villains by Julie Anne Grasso

Planning your Story:  A Checklist for Success by Roz Morris

Writing First Pages by Rebecca Fyfe

How to Outline your Novel Before You Write by Rebecca Fyfe

I hope one, a few, or all of these previous posts will help you if you are having any difficulty in getting started.

Happy writing!

Give-Away

We rarely get this far into ChaBooCha without at least one give-away. So today, I'm going to offer something handmade. Everyone who is signed up for the Chapter Book Challenge and comments on this post will be entered into a drawing for a charm book mark (similar to the one shown above, but not necessarily the same). The drawing will occur at the end of the month and the winner will be announced in a blog post on March 31st.
